County: ‘Niceties’ out for schools

DURHAM — “Niceties” such as laptops for every middle and high school teacher and 40 after-school buses may need to be trimmed from the Durham Public Schools’ budget request, the Board of County Commissioners told school board members in a joint meeting on Monday.
