It’s a great time to be a North Carolina Democrat. We control both Houses of the legislature, and the executive. We are a party of inclusion and great diversity and share an ideal of true patriotism and compassion. We are dedicated to the principle of equity and to promotion of the Golden Rule.
Recently, the Senate, with leadership from our great governor, made what must have been a tough decision to maintain the half-cent sales tax while allowing the phaseout of the income tax increase of the top tax bracket. Although, I am certain that much thought and analysis went into this decision, as the party of the people we cannot diverge from our core beliefs. (more…)
