Smart Start expands to handle growth

The expansion of a conference and resource center will help the local Smart Start agency keep up with growing demand for services, officials said.

About 30 educators, child-care advocates and local and state political leaders celebrated the addition to the ChildLinks center and Smart Start offices during a ribbon cutting and open house Monday afternoon.

The expansion nearly doubled the agency’s space, allowing it to bring more of its programs under one roof and improve services at ChildLinks’ Resource and Referral Center on Eastgate Drive. (more…)
