Another difference between progressives and the far right

Honesty. Just once, it would be great to hear someone in one of Raleigh's market fundamentalist think tanks speak critically and forcefully about a conservative Republican public official who did something wrong or outrageous. You don't have to look hard at the Policy Watch site or Blue NC to find someone saying something harsh about a prominent Democrat. Heck, Governor Easley (of whom we've written glowingly and in extremely critical terms) apparently had us on some kind of "do not call back" list at one time. But save for an occasional reference to some clown that loses his job for criminal or illicit sexual activity, I can't think of one time in recent memory that Locke or Civitas or Americans for the Prosperous has really taken on a prominent conservative or even publicly criticized one for offensive or stupid acts.

A classic case in point: Sheriff Steve "Bull Connor" Bizzell. The guy goes on a hate-filled tirade against a group of his fellow human beings and what do we hear from Right-Wing Avenue?

Crickets chirping.
