Check out a new op-ed from Rob Young and Andrew Coburn in today’s Charlotte Observer. They do a great job summarizing the debate and explaining the destructive effects of the jetty on current recreational and environmental uses. They also explain that saving a few houses will cause erosion in front of others farther down the island and highlight one of the more egregious conflicts of interest among jetty proponents. It’s worth a look.
