NC AFL-CIO: Invest in workers this Labor Day

President Barack Obama will spend part of this Labor Day addressing the AFL-CIO at an event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The labor community wants the administration to do more on the jobs-creation front, while many Democrats want the union group to become more active in the mid-term elections.

The president of  the North Carolina chapter of the AFL-CIO says union members, civil rights activists and other concerned citizens need to come together this fall in support of good jobs. James Andrews says partisan politics will not pave the road to recovery or help America’s 14.6 million unemployed workers.
